Bissell 1330 CleanView Review – What You Need To Know About The Bagless Upright Vacuum

Bissell 1330 CleanView Bagless Upright Vacuum

If you are looking for a versatile upright vacuum cleaner but are not too keen on spending money on a top of the line machine then you may want to take a look at the Bissell 1330. The 1330 may not be in the same league as Dysons or other high-end vacuums but priced at about $80 it packs in a list of good features. In this review you will find information regarding the main features of the upright, along with some pros and cons.

The 1330 is a refresh of the 9595 model, an upright cleaner which has received lots of positive reviews. Weighing 15.1 lbs, the 9595 CleanView is a bit lighter than the 1330 (15.5 lbs). The 9595 also offers a larger dirt container (2.27 L vs 2.0 L ). Both come with OnePass Technology. However, the 1330 CleanView has a new brush roll to help better pick up on multiple floor types.

As the name indicates, the OnePass Technology of this cleaner allows it to pick up more dirt on the first pass. It is time consuming having to go over the same spot more than once. This means cutting your cleaning time. Aside from what has been mentioned, it is also important to note that the 1330 model works on the cyclonic separation principle. With this technology, your vacuum will be less likely to get clogged and loose suction.

The cyclonic cleaner does not offer automatic height adjustment. To remove dirt and debris from various floor surfaces, it provides five-level manual height adjustment. There is a dial on the foot of the cleaner that you can turn to change the height of the nozzle. The lowest setting is ideal for low pile carpet or bare floors. The highest setting is designed for use on high pile and most shag carpets. There is no button to turn off the brush roll.

When it comes to attachments, twist and snap hose, 11″ extension wand, dusting brush/upholstery tool, crevice tool and TurboBrush tool are included in the box. The
TurboBrush tool uses rotating brush action for dirt removal from stairs, upholstery, and hard-to-reach places. Cleaning pet hair off the couch and recliner will be easier with the rolling brush attachment. All of the attachments attach directly to the vac for storage.

This bagless unit might not be the best choice for people suffering with dust allergy. However, it does not necessarily mean it is a bad machine. The Bissell CleanView 1330 provides double filtration. A washable foam pre-motor filter and a pleated exhaust filter are used to return clean air to the room. To make it better, the filter pack (1 pre-motor and 1 post motor filter) that works with this model costs less than $10.

With over 100 reviews to its name and with an average rating of 4.4 out of 5.0, it is clear that the bagless upright vacuum offers good value for money. Customer feedback suggests that it works as advertised.

As mentioned before, this is an upright vacuum cleaner that has received mostly very positive feedback. However, a number of criticisms have also been leveled at the product.

One complaint that has been made about the upright relates to its On/Off switch. The switch is located low down on the left side of the machine and for this reason it is not easily accessible. You have to bend over to reach it which can be annoying for people with back issues.

Other negative reviews have been made in relation to the product’s hose. Some of the customers have argued that it is too short hence it can be difficult to perform overhead cleaning jobs.

Despite such negative feedback, the majority of the customers seem very satisfied with their purchase. It lacks some features common to other higher priced uprights. There is no automatic retractable cord for instance. You have to roll up the long 25′ cord yourself. However, you should not expect much from an $80 vacuum.

Overall, most owners are thrilled with the its cleaning abilities. Reviewers have found that it works very well on carpets and does a reasonably good job on bare floors. With a great deal of suction, it picks up dirt and pet hair. Some people wish it had a longer extension. However, they generally appreciate the attachments, especially the rolling brush accessory.

Positive comments have also been expressed by the reviewers in reference to the easy to empty dirt bag. The container can be removed easily from the vacuum base. Then you only need to press the bottom lid release button on the container to empty the collected dirt. The same also goes for the filter. Reviewers have reported that it comes out easily for washing.

This vacuum does not only offer a good suction. In terms of build quality, reviewers have the opinion that it does not feel cheap. The lightweight design makes it easy for the average person to carry it up and down the stairs. It does not provide rolling ball technology and swivel cleaning head. However, the 13.5″ cleaner head width is narrow enough to get between furniture.

This is certainly not an ideal vacuum for everyone. But if all you need is a basic vacuum which is light and easy to use, then the Bissell 1330 CleanView is worth considering. The useful array of attachments that come with this upright make it well worth checking out.
